Wood & Composite Fungo Bats
Fungo and training bats are designed for use in practice to help hitters of all ages work on their swing without putting wear and tear on game bats. Since they’re not meant for real-game action, fungo bats are much cheaper and of significantly lower quality than regular bats. Because hitting baseballs degrades bats little by little, it’s best to use a fungo bat for hitting ground balls or pop flies.
Fungo bats are typically lighter than regular bats so they’re easier to swing, but a weighted training bat can help you get stronger and swing faster. Be careful not to use too much weight or take too many swings. Find fungo bats from brands like Franklin, Louisville Slugger, Demarini, Rawlings and more.
